What is a Walk, Run, or Roll Race?
Anyone and everyone who registers can choose to run, walk, roll, hop, skip or jump to the distance of their choice.  If completing the race virtually, registrants will pick their own route anywhere they want.  You can complete the distance all at one time or broken up into multiple days. Every body is different and how you move it is up to you!

Who is Agape Adoptions?
Agape Adoptions believes that every child deserves their own supportive family to provide permanency, unconditional love and acceptance. We are a licensed, fully accredited international adoption agency based in the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area  serving families across the U.S. We provide child placement services for children from Bulgaria, China, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Hong Kong, Romania, and Sri Lanka.

Is this a virtual or in-person race?

You get to choose!  Complete Walk, Run, or Roll virtually (anywhere you choose) at the distance of your choice (5k or 3.1 miles is a traditional race length). Or, if you are in the Seattle, WA area, join us at Urban Family Brewing in Ballard at noon on Saturday, Sept 9 to complete a 5k distance with Agape staff, adoptive families and supporters. Afterwards, we'll celebrate at Urban Family Brewing, complete with food trucks, music, and special guest appearances from Agape staff and OL Reign players! Bring your race bib (which we will mail you) to the event and you'll be entered to win racer prizes. 

How far do I have to walk, run or roll?

How do I register?

Can kids participate?
Yes! At Agape, we are all about family and we would love for children of any age to join! Children may be registered at a reduced registration fee of $5. Children under age 5 are free!

What is a virtual race?
A virtual race means you can participate from any location you choose! You can run or walk in your neighborhood, on a trail, on a track, even on a treadmill.

How do I track my distance and time?
We recommend downloading a free app such as MapMyRun or Nike Run Club.

Do I need to turn in my time?
Tracking your time is up to you – we won’t be collecting times but we do highly encourage either tagging us on social media with the hashtags #agapewalkrunroll or sending us your training and race day photos at [email protected] We would love to share the fun you’re having and good you’re doing from a distance!

What do I receive for my registration fee?
All participants will receive a custom race bib and custom Agape Adoptions reusable, foldable grocery bag and secret swag from our sponsors! 

Am I required to fundraise?
You are not required to fundraise to participate in the event. If you would like to fundraise, create your personal fundraising page. You can then share the event with your friends and family, and ask them to join you in supporting Agape Adoptions by donating or registering for the event - you can even create a team!

What do donations support?
Donations will go directly to the Zoe!Fund, which allows Agape Adoptions to offer adoption grants for waiting children on our advocacy list. By providing adoption grants, we can reduce barriers for families hoping to adopt and bring more children home to their forever families. Your gift is literally life-changing for waiting children with special needs!

Can I put together a team?
Yes! Click "create a team" or "join a team" above. We would love for you to invite your friends and family to participate in the race. Creating a team is a really fund way to participate in this event!

When is the last day to register?
You may register up until the event, but please register by Sunday, Aug 27th to receive your race packet by the event date. Participants who register after this date may be able to receive their items in time by paying an optional priority shipping charge.
